Amazon is the world’s largest online shopping website. It sells a variety of products, including their own. It has grown so big over the years that everyone wants a piece of the pie. By helping Amazon sell its products, an affiliate gets a commission from the sale.
WP Money Machine needs an Amazon Key, Amazon Secret, Amazon Tag and Amazon Country to be able to import products from the Amazon website.
This guide assumes that you already have an Amazon account and that you have been approved as an Amazon Associate. Being an affiliate requires that you reveal information about your website, your audience and your identity. Then, Amazon will manually check your site and approve your application. Please refer to this guide to know more about signing up for Amazon Associates.
To create your Amazon.com keys, please follow these steps:
1. Sign in to your Amazon Associates account at https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/signup.
2. Once logged in, just follow the simple steps outlined in this video:
Note: getting an Amazon Key is 100% free, but you need to have a previously approved Amazon affiliate account.
Note 2: you can reuse the same keys for multiple sites, you do not need to create a new one per website
IMPORTANT! Since january this year, Amazon has a new policy where to be able to use their API, you need to have 3 sales in the previous month. You can read more about it here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSECommerceService/latest/DG/TroubleshootingApplications.html#EfficiencyGuidelines.
